I have led a wide range of organisations. In 1985 I helped establish the now legendary music venue in Riverside in Newcastle. From there I ran the business side of The Junction in Cambridge, set up The Media Centre in Huddersfield, managed the National Glass Centre in Sunderland and was the founding Director of QUAD in Derby.

Most recently I established Coventry University Social Enterprise, an award winning subsidiary focused on helping people and communities realise their entrepreneurial potential.

Amongst all this I ran a small record label (even reaching no84 in the charts), set up a small press releasing short fiction and was Programme Director for the Yorkshire Urban Culture programme.

All this experience has been formalised with a CIMA qualification (so I understand finances), MA in Policy and Management (so I understand business) and advanced studies in innovation and management at MIT’s Sloan School of Executive Education.

Most importantly however I am a qualified Coach and Mentor having gained ILM Level 7 Diploma in Coaching and mentoring.
